Fuel level incorrect.
Is your fuel level reading not quite right?
most common reason
As detailed in the KPM Fuel System instructions for your GM fuel module the fuel level sender will operate on ONE side only.
Our universal fuel canister is used on multiple vehicles an has two slots for a fuel level sender to attach.
Taking note of the orientation when removing the old fuel module is also a good way to check that the sender and other components are all in the right place.
To test the sender place an ohm meter on each of the terminals and measure the resistance.
when sender is up (full) you should have reading of 35ohm – +2
when sender is down (empty) you should have a reading of 250ohm – +2
Sensor is re fit into the correct position and still not working.
If you’re experiencing an issue with the sender not working after it has been rectified then it may have been damaged by incorrect placement as it gets fouled on the wall of the tank.
KPM Fuel Systems have senders in stock for $145 if you require a replacement.
